Nissan Repair: 1986.5 nissan hardbody 3.0 -CANT IDLE, nissan hardbody, base areas

aloha Calvin,  only in the mornings start-ups, it cranks but no like start.  i use a hair dryer on high heat for about 5 minutes on the carburetor base areas then it starts.  then it idles at 1800 rpm. then i accelerate to 2000 rpm, that's when the tach needle bounces up and down.  HELP!

Have you checked your cold start valve?, Or it could be that your vehicle has a preheat carb base that is not working.

Have you tried priming the intake with starting fluid or gas to see if it starts then?

Let me know, that would help with the diagnosis.
