Nissan Repair: 1986 nissan 300zx, nissan 300zx, distributor cap

my 300zx stalled at a stop light!!! i dont want to turn it over to much in case it was the timing belt! but my question is: are there sensers or fuses in the motor i need to check before i tare it apart??

No. The disassembly is basic. First of all, to determine if it is the timing belt -

Remove the distributor cap to expose the rotor. Manually turn the engine slowly and observe the movement of the rotor. If the rotor is not spinning, then it is indeed the timing belt.

If the rotor is spinning, then it is something else.

I have instructions for both instances, so please do this test and get back to me if you need me to take you to the next step
