how do i change the side light on my 98 pathfinder? And what light do i need?

When you say side light, I assume it is the light on the fender?

That light is usually replaced from behind the fender, however, if you see screws on the lens outside, then that is what you need to undo to remove the assebly to access the bulb. If not, Find the wires connected to it behind the fender and it should pull right out. The bulb is just a plug in (I think it is #194, but any parts store will have it if you give them your year and model, or bring the old bulb with you as a sample). Make sure you turn on your headlights to test it before reassembly.
