Nissan Repair: Car wont start due to outsite temperature, car wont start, nissan pulsar

Question
QUESTION: I have a Nissan Pulsar Q N13. My car wont start when the outside temperature is warm (eg car starts in morning and evening when cool, but during day it wont start)
I'm thinking it could be something electrical?
I put new spark plugs and leads in, there is plenty of fuel and oil, and the battery works
Have checked all the fuses inside the car and under the bonet
Any Suggestions to what it could be

ANSWER: Elysia,

I would think the distributor is the problem.  The optical pickup and shutter wheel is probably contaminated with oil.  Disassemble the distributor by removing the cap, rotor, rotor post and cover and you'll see if there is oil on the optics.  If so, replace the distributor.  You see, when the engine is cold the oil drips off and when it is warm oil has spun up on the optics.

QUESTION: Thankyou for the reply.

I had a look in the distributor and cleaned any dirt and dust out yesterday. I also checked the lead from the coil to the distributor and there was no spark observed when bridged to earth. Also that this is the first time experienced and it was not a very hot day.
But will check the distributor again.
Any other suggestions would be great!

Answer
Elysia,

If the distributor is good then I would check the ignition module to see if there is no output when the car will not start.  You see, the distributor sends the signal to fire the plug but the information for firing the coil is done through the ignition module.
