Nissan Repair: Electronic brake controls, nissan xterra, brake light switch

Question
I have a 2000 Nissan Xterra and I'm about to hook up an electronic brake control to my vehicle. The general wiring diagram says to hook up the stoplight wire to the cold side of the stoplight switch. My question is since I have ABS, will this effect it and if not, How can I tell what side is the side of the switch that voltage is present when pushing the brake. From what i can see under the dash, is 2 plug ins for that switch. Is there a color wire that I could look for

Answer
Mike the brake light switch should be on the left of the pedal since there are two switches.  The wire, if I can remember, is pink/red.  I would unplug the switch and get a test light and backprobe it to make sure it is the side that is not hot.  You see, the reason you are wiring it to the cold side it that when the pedal is pressed it becomes hot and when the pedal is not pressed there is no current flowing.  Sort of a trigger for the electronic brake control.
