Nissan Repair: P0325 knock sensor 1 malfunction, knock sensor, person change

Where is this sensor located and can the average person change this type of sensor? If not changed immediately what kind of damage can occur? Are any special tools required? Thank you.

The knock sensor is located on the intake and if your is a four cylinder you can do it yourself.  If you have a V6 Nissan it will require the removal of the intake manifold.  Not too difficult if you have the tools.  But, it is time consuming.
