Question
I would like to know why my oil light is on after I all ready got an oil change the light stayed on I went to my mechanic he got the oil light to turn off but within a few hours is was back on also I hear this rattleing noise under the hood. When I put the car on the computer they said is was the trottle sensors and they fix that but oil light is still on can you please help me. Thank you.

Answer
Ebony,

Engine noise with the oil light on means that there is not enough oil pressure to run the engine.  If the oil light is on turn off the engine and get it checked by a mechanic soon.  If the the light is on it could only mean two things.  First, if the oil pressure is not there the engine will burn up the bearings and have to be replaced.  Second, if it was just the oil pressure sending unit there would be no engine noise.  If yours has engine noise it probably means the engine needs to be replaced.
