How do I remove a idler pully bearing?

Hi Jose -

You would need a press for that. Anyhting else, such as pounding the bearing out, will distort the pulley and you will be faced with more headache.

Have you looked into replacing the entire idler assembly? When you count the labor involved to R&R the bearing, it might be more practical to replace the entire idler.

Also, not many auto stores would carry just the bearing, unless you go to a specialty shop.
