Nissan Repair: 94 SENTRA, throttle position sensor, nissan sentra

Question
94 NISSAN SENTRA, 1.6L.  Runs rough all the time, but can still drive all speeds.  Use to cut off when making a turn sometimes.  Showed a code for the throttle position sensor.  Dealership tested the sensor and said it tested fine.  They cannot figure out what is wrong.  Changed plugs and wires.  Dealership cleaned fuel system.

Answer
Nick,

I would almost bet the distributor is going out.  Take the cap, rotor, rotor post and cover off and check the optical pickup and shutter wheel for oil contamination.  If there is oil replace it with a rebuilt unit.  If that is not the case retest the throttle position sensor.  With the years and miles I would probably replace it anyway.
