Nissan Repair: 1995 Maxima-gas fumes in car when cold outside, rubber gaskets, gas fumes

Question
Hello,
I have a '95 Maxima (165K miles) that gets raw gas fumes in the car only when it's cold outside-around freezing and below.  Any ideas what needs to be replaced?
Thanks and Happy New Year!

Answer
DDC,

I would drop the gas tank and inspect the lines and the seal on the gas tank.  Fuel lines and rubber gaskets tend to rot when they get this old.  I replaced the fuel lines and seals on my old Stanza for the same reason.  Also, check the fuel injector seals and fuel lines up front too as they could be leaking when really cold and the heater/defroster could be sucking the fumes in up front.
