Nissan Repair: Brakes, nissan frontier, 20 bucks

Question
I keep getting a squeaking noise from my drivers side front wheel. It happens while driving, and when turning right. It sounds like my brakes are rubbing, it stops when I press my brakes. I have had it checked, and they said my brakes are fine, and my rotors. I was wondering if this had been a pattern with my model. 99 Nissan Frontier XE 4x4 v6.

Answer
Daniel,

Yes, this is common on your vehicle.  Purchase a anti-squeal kit at Nissan and install it on your front calipers.  Basically, they are selling a set of steel slides and anti-squeal shim plates.  They work wonderfully, if you listen to what my wife says.  I tend to agree since I have installed them on many vehicles.  For a little over $20 bucks it is worth the cost and the time to install them.  If your pads are within range just reuse them with the kit.
