Nissan Repair: 1993 Nissan Sentra, nissan sentra, stop signs

I have a 1993 Nissan Sentra. Every time I go over 40mph and put on the brakes and slow down to 15 mph, my car seems to shake and act like it is struggling for gas. I can put the car in neutral while I am slowing down and stopping for red lights and stop signs, the car works fine. Can you help me with this problem?

A couple of things here on the Sentra.  First, the car has been tuned recently?  If not change the plugs.  Also, the rear engine mount as a tendency to go out and that will let the car shake when slowing as the drivetrain will vibrate and you veel it through the floor and steering wheel.
