Nissan Repair: 1997 nissan pickup cuts out while driving, crank angle sensor, haynes manual

While driving, my 1997 nissan pick up will cutout and then pick right back up. All the accessories and lights will continue to work. Only the engine will shut off and the tach will bottom out. Help

Crank angle sensor is the usual suspect when the system will cut out and come back to life.  Fuel tends to slowly act when a fuel pump goes.  I would be looking at the distributor and the optical pickup and receiver and for the presense of oil and also, if yours has a seperate crank angle sensor, I would look at the output of that.  Get a Haynes Manual for the specific values for your vehicle.
