Nissan Repair: 1994 Nissan altima, nissan altima, auto parts store

Question
Hi, I have a 1994 Nissan Altima. When I was installing an aftermarket CD Player, it worked for a minute and then would not come on, I think I mixed up two of the wires. I rewired it correctly and it still does not work.  I then noticed the clock stopped working and the Air Bag Light came on. All the fuses are fine, so I'm guessing it is a relay but I don't know which one it is if it was a relay and no auto parts store could help me. It would be greatly appreciated if you could tell me which relay it is or if you have another idea. Thanks

Answer
Smitty,

Nissan uses a floating ground that shows to be a ground when the power is off and it is 12 volts with the key on.  Check out the link from install doctor:

If the airbag light stays on after you get the wiring corrected then you will need to have that diagnosed with a Consult II scantool or one from a bodyshop that can access the CAN to give you a reading.  My bet is all that will be needed is to reset the light after you get the wiring corrected.
