Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Carburetor disassembly, mtd snow blower, soft brass

Question
I put some old gas in my MTD snow blower.  It now stalls and wont run.  I drained the gas and replaced the plug, but I want to clean the bowl.  I cant find a drawing or info on disassembly.  It is a Tecumseh hsk845.

Answer
I don't know of any drawings on the Internet but draining the bowl is very easy.

First find the carburetor...this sounds silly but sometimes snow blower carburetors are covered by sheet metal to prevent freezing.

Once you find the carb, just remove the bowl nut on the bottom of the carb with 7/16 or 1/2 socket.  A wrench will usually work, but the nut is made of soft brass which can strip easily.

Loosening the nut a few turns should allow the old fuel to drain out.

Let me know if you need any other help.
