my nissan torrano 11 deisel cuts out in heavy rain but starts again but will keep doing so throughout the journey.thankyou

Sounds like the diesel is absorbing water.  I would change the fuel filter first and add a water dissipant to the fuel.  Now, if you are splashing through a puddle and it dies then I would be looking at the air filtration system for water intrusion.
