Nissan Repair: 1991 Stanza overheating, heater hoses, antifreeze

My 91 Stanza is overhaeying & the heater is blowing cold. Suggestions?

A couple of things here.  Replace the thermostat first and then fill with a fifty/fifty mix of demineralized water and antifreeze.  Also, after you fill it up loosen one of the heater hoses and start the engine, with the heater on and then tighten the hose after the air burps out.  Now the heater should work and the car should not overheat.
