Nissan Repair: 90 stanza -themostat, ring gasket, themostat

want to replace themostat.how do you get to it?looks like themostat housing and intake are one piece.also just installed new radiator,there seems to be air in system.can you bleed it?older models look like they have bleed valves.,thanks

Follow the upper hose to the thermostat and just remove the hose and the bolts and you have access.  Buy a Nissan thermostat since it is the best and be sure to get the new o-ring gasket and it is really a snap to change.  The pain with the Stanza is bleeding the air out of the system.  I simply crack the heater hose clamp and let the air come out until antifreeze leaks out and then I tighten the clamp.  Then, drive around with the heater on and you should be fine.
