Nissan Repair: 2005 Nissan Maxima Rear Lights, 2005 nissan maxima, nissan maxima

I am having trouble with the lights on my 2005 Maxima.  The rear lights do not
work, the license plate light does not work, and the white light on the front does
not light when the turning signal is on.  In addition I cannot adjust the
instrument panel lights, they are stuck on at the brightest level. All the head
lights work, the brake lights work.  Any suggestions?

I cannot imagine a 2005 would have a defective headlight switch since it is so new.  But, that is what it sounds like to me.  When the headlights are turned on the instrument lights are supposed to automatically dim.  And, the lights you describe are all supposed to come on.  I do not think all of these things could be caused by a fuse or a single relay so the headlight switch comes to mind.
