Nissan Repair: 1992 Nissan Sentra Idler Pulley (replacing crankshaft seal), nissan sentra, crankshaft seal

Question
I have a 1992 Nissan Sentra 1.6L and I'm in the process of replacing the crankshaft oil seal (front main seal).  I've ran into a snag removing my idler pulley.  The nut is stripped and I've sprayed PBBlast on it numerous times to no avail.  I can only see cutting the nut off with a dremel my resort here.  Now, the tip of the bolt is a bit (not sure how much exactly) chewed up from my own frustration and repeated attempts to remove this stripped nut, and I'm trying to cover all of my bases before cutting the nut.  I'm really hoping to cut the nut off without damaging the bolt below.  So my questions entail: advice for removing this nut?  Do you have any advice for the bolt, say, if it's stripped?  Do you happen to know if the bolt is a fixed stud, or a bolt that can be replaced?  And, if the bolt is damaged and for some reason I can't cut the tip off and put a new nut on it, can this stud be rethreaded?  I haven't cut the nut off yet, but I definitely need to fix this seal before too long.

Answer
Christopher,

I have been in this situation too many times to recall.  I would grind of the nut and get a new or used assembly to replace it.  I would go to a wrecking yard to get the parts you need before you grind off the nut.  The assembly is a pretty easy replacement after you get the old one off.  A Dremel will take some time but it can be done.  I like to use a air grinder or a cutting torch.  But, get the parts before you start the job and that includes the pully since it is going to get damaged in the process.
