Nissan Repair: overheat engine, nissan maxima, something burning

Question
i have a nissan maxima 1993 and the engines overheat only if i drive  8 miles to 45 miles per hour the engine is very hot and the water in the radiator is hot but the termometer in the car does not indicate  hot temperature if i turn the air conditioner on the smell of something burning is worst

Answer
try replacing  your thermostat and draining the old coolant out and flushing fresh water through your cooling system then adding fresh coolant back into your radiator and make sure  that you fill it properly and bleed any air thats in the lines.  hopefully this does the trick.  good luck.
