Question
2000 maxima check engine light p0171 104,000 miles, replaced coils, spark plugs, cleaned throttle body at 101,000 miles, nissan reprogrammed ecu for o2 sensor parameters around 70,000 miles, have run lucas fuel sytem cleaner off and on, only run premium gasoline, any info would be appreciated, Thanks

Answer
Brian,

I would replace the bank one oxygen sensor and while I was at it I would replace both front ones.  Don't bother with the rear one as it is only used to rat you out if the converter is replaced.  You see, the oxygen sensors get coated and this gives the false indication of running lean and there is no way to clean them so it is just a matter of replacement.
