Nissan Repair: 84 300ZX Ignition, air flow meter, 84 300zx

Question
Car died last month.  Codes indicated; bad pick-up, ign module, air flow meter, throttle switch.  This is on a rebuilt computer that I replaced first.  All components replaced, and car runs ok above 2000 rpm.  Below that it acts like a bad module again, hesitant to accept throttle inputs and very rough idle.  This happens only when fully warmed up.  Nissan shop manual says replace computer if code 23 will not go away after the throttle switch is properly adjusted, which it is. The only other code is 31, and the AC hasn't worked for a couple years, so I've discounted that.  Is Another computer the answer???? No vacuum leaks are present, and the coil was also replaced.

Answer
Roger,

Check the throttle position switch with a volt/ohm meter for the correct reading.  I know you did that but what I would like you to do is run a full sweep of the switch by slowly flooring it, engine off, to see the readings and there are no bald spots.  OK, disconnecte, remove and clean the idle air control valve to get the car to transition to and from idle.  Be sure you check the connector to the throttle position switch harness is is good order and the connector is good before replacement of the ECM again.  Also, make sure you disconnect the computer harness and check the pins to make sure all are straight and not bent.  Lastly, humor me and check the fuel pressure to make sure it is adequate and the regulator is working properly.  YOu did check the distributor optics for oil?  Email me back and let me know what you find.
