Nissan Repair: 1993 Maxima Clutch, clutch hydraulics, clutch components

Question
I have noticed the clutch is grabbing earlier in the release of the pedal.  I have checked the hydraulic system for leaks and bled the system.  I would like make sure the problem/wear is the clutch components before pulling the transmission.  The car has 132,000 miles on the original clutch hydraulics/components.

Thank you,

Rocco

Answer
Rocco,

The clutch is probably gone and needs to be replaced at 132K miles.  For a Maxima you did well to get that many miles out of the clutch and I am impressed.  I would get a complete clutch kit that includes the clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and pilot bushing along with an installation tool.  This would be a good time to get the flywheel resurfaced.
