Nissan Repair: 1997 Nissan Sentra a/c problem, nissan sentra, lukewarm air

About a month after having a rebuilt compressor and drier installed the a/c began to cool only a little. The low side was checked and found to be too high but it blows lukewarm air
on a hot day. Is the expansion valve kaput? It's not easy or cheap to replace,if so. Thanx for your help.

Since you have installed a new compressor and the pressure is too high on the low side you have an expansion valve that is stuck.  It is under the dash on the passenger side and you have to remove the golvebox and the case and discharge the system to get to it.  The valve is around $100 bucks.  If you do the work yourself it would take a day but you would save $100 or more in labor.  It is not difficult but it does take time.
