Nissan Repair: 93 nissan 240 sx auto transmission, nissan 240 sx, signal circuit

I have a '93 Nissan 240 sx w/automatic transmission. The car shifts through each gear properly however, now sometimes the engine will race without being in tune with the automatic transmission. Could it be the signal circuit from the A/T and ECM malfunctioning?

Sounds like the transmission is slipping.  First, change the fluid to see if that helps.  If not, take it to a Cottman Transmission shop and have it diagnosed.  My bet would be the second gear band slipping.  Yours has a throttle position cable and that means the ECM sould not be the problem.
