Nissan Repair: 1995 Nisson 240sx no start, nisson, dash lights

When I turn the key in the ignition switch, the dash lights go on, I hear a click, but the car doesn't crank. This first happened about a month ago, and then a few more times.  Until today, I would keep trying and eventually the car would start.  I checked the positive terminal of the battery and cleaned the connection - nothing.  I think I am hearing the solenoid click in the engine when someone turns the switch, so I'm stumped.  Any ideas?

have your starter tested.  when these become faulty, they will work sometimes, and then they wont work at all, making you think its something else. but before you pay for a new starter ($$$), have it tested, its a free service at most auto parts store.  good luck.
