Nissan Repair: No tail lights 2000 Nisson Exterra, nisson exterra, trailer harness

Hello ,I have been trying to fix my tail lights problem for 2 days. I have headlights and brake, turn signals are good, but everytime I turn my tail lights on, the fuze blows...I even disconnected the trailer whip...any ideas???

There are two causes for your problem.  Either the trailer harness is defective ( wired wrong or grounding out) or the headlight switch is screwing up.  I cannot see that since it is only a 2000 so I would go with looking at the trailer light wiring.  Now, you did replace the lights back there to make sure they both did not blow?  Email me back and let me know what you find.
