Nissan Repair: Nissan Altima 1997 wont start, nissan altima, body control module

Question
I have lost my remote control, and my Nissan Altima 1997 wont start without
it. Waht can I do to solve this problem and be able to start my car with the
key only?

If you use the door lock to unlock the car the car should start.  If not then the body control module is acting up and you will have to go to a dealership to get it analyzed.  Otherwise, you could go get one from a wrecking yard install it and have the dealer reprogram it.  DO the key thing in the door first and let's hope it works and then all you will need to do is go on ebay and purchase a remote and get the dealer to program it.  It would be the cheapest solution.
