Nissan Repair: 1996 quest transmission, thrust washers, solenoid

hello Von, I'm working on a 1996 Quest transmission. when transmission reaches operating temperature, it neutralizes in drive range on engagement. R,2,1 all ok. I overhauled trans. replaced solenoid assembly. Same problem. Any Advise? Thanks

Sounds to me that the clutches and bands need to be checked for installed thickness since it seems that they are not making contact after operating temperature is attained.  Also, make sure you have all the spacers and thrust washers/bearings installed.  nissantechinfo.com is a good source if you do not have the factory dimensions.
