Nissan Repair: ecu, computer diagnosis, oil change

I got a bad oil change that resulted in me getting another engine.  What would cause my old ECU to go bad once the new engine was put in? Would there have been any signs before this happen? What kind of problems are associated with a bad ECU?

If the ECU in your car is incompatible with the new engine that could lead to failure.  The sensors have to match your computer for it to work properly.  I would also say that a shorted connector could take it out as well.  Also, ask to see the evidence of the defective computer.  Have them do the computer diagnosis in your presence to make sure that it is indeed defective.  Email me back if you need more.
