Nissan Repair: door ajar???, master switch, nissans

the fuse that controls the dome lights and whatever else blows every time i put a new one in.  while the car is turned on, the door ajar light stays on although all doors are closed.  the car is a 01 maxima.  Also, the automatic locks and windows   do not work unless the car is turned on.  on every other car i've had, the locks always work regardless of whether the key is on or not.  Is one of the pin switches burnt out?  If so, how do i determine which one?

Sounds like the master switch is blown.  I would replace the master switch first.  That is, unless you have an aftermarket alarm installed.  That could be taking the door locks out and the fuse too.  I have had very few pin switches fail on Nissans unless there is an aftermarket alarm wired into the system.
