Nissan Repair: tranny, clutch alignment tool, input shaft

Question
i replaced my clutch in my 240sx 2.4 and was wondering if there was a trick on how to get mt tranny back in

Answer
Kyle,

Get a clutch alignment tool to get the clutch splines and pilot bushing lines up so the input shaft will go in easy and that really expedites the process.  Also, be sure to replace the clutch cover bolts with new ones and tighten them, evenly, until at the specified torque.  Do not over tighten as it could cause a bolt to fail.  Getting the transmission back in is simply inserting the input shaft, transmission in neutral, and wiggle until it aligns and slides into place.  Then put some bolts in the bellhousing.  Do not pull the case to the engine with the bolts as it should slide together easy.  Again, the clutch alignment tool is important to get things to slide together easy.
