Nissan Repair: 2000 Maxima wont start, altenator, autozone

Question
I replaced an altenator about a week ago then strted having problems occasionally starting the car then it wouldnt start at all, I was able to jump start it and take it to the part store  to have battery tested and it was bad so I had a new one installed and everything was fine for a day or two and then yesterday I noticed that I had to keep the key turned for a long period of time for the car to crank.  Then this morning I got in the car to go to work and nothing it wouldnt turn over just clicked.  The lights and radio and clock all worked fine and had not lost power because the clock still had correct time.  What does this sound like to you? THANKS!

Answer
Shonda,

Sounds like the alternator is defective or the master fuse at the positive battery cable is blown so the alternator is not able to charge the battery.  I would remove the battery and charge it and then drive it to Autozone and have the charging system checked for free.  Email me back with what you find.
