Nissan Repair: a/c compressor, nissan pathfinder, center bolt

I have a 96 Nissan Pathfinder and the belt for the a/c  fried off. The a/c pulley is seized do I need to purchase the whole compressor or is their a pullery i just need to replace.

If the compressor seized then you are going to need a compressor.  Now, if you can remove the center bolt and pull off the pulley clutch and then get snap-ring plyers and remove the bearing assembly you will know for sure if the compressor is frozen or just the pulley.  Email me back if you need more.  You should be able to tell if the pulley is burnt.
