Nissan Repair: keysssssss lost 01sentra, nissan sentra, locksmiths

I lost my keys for my 2001 nissan sentra, i went to dealership and they told me the onlyway is to sell me a key, program the chip and cut key.  also not included is that they need to tow it to them.  total bill around $250.00.  is that my only option???

Yes, it is true.  But, I would call around to the local locksmiths because some have the computer and they will come to you and cut the key for much less.  The programming of the key and reading the car to get the right code is part of the process.  But, check locally before going to the dealer.
