Nissan Repair: 1994 Nissan P/U power loss/no heat, cam timing, air blowing

Question
My P/U is a Nissan Kigcab XE with a rebuilt Engine. I have had spark plugs and wires changed, Fuel pump and Filter change as well as thermostat and water pump and radiator flush.Nevertheless, the truck loses power upon acceleration and going up hill. There is air blowing but no heat. What is the cause of these problems and how can I repair them?

Answer
Jacqueline,

You have a couple of things here.  The first is the timing, either mechanical or with the distributor is probably retarded and you are loosing power.  The second is trapped air in the cooling system keeping the heat from working.  I would take it back and have these two things looked at.  They need to purge the air from the cooling system.  The second thing is that they need to check the cam timing (Mechanical) and the distributor timing for proper setting.
