Nissan Repair: Question regarding toyota repairs, toyota corolla, volkswagon bug

Question
I was told that the Toyota Corolla was teh simplest car to fix and repair, next to an old Volkswagon Bug. What do you think? I am looking for the easiest small car to repair as I have very little experience at auto repir, as well as limited working space and funds. I would appriciate any advise.

Thank You.

Answer
Arthur,

Yes, the Toyota Corolla is a fine car and really easy to work on.  If you are getting a new one or a used one they are pretty much the same.  Basic transportation that is cheap to fix and easy to work on.  If you get a 1996 or newer it will be OBDII compliant and the computer tells you what is wrong when the check engine light comes on.  Change the timing belt when required and keep up with the regular maintenance and it will last for years.  I have seen some that have over 200K miles on then and they are still running.
