Nissan Repair: z24i to a KA24e, nissan hardbody, motor swaps

Question
Hello,
I've searched all over for my answer, I hope you can help.  I have a 1989 Nissan Z24i D21 2WD hardbody, smokes like a train.  I pick up a 1997 4WD Nissan Hardbody with muiti port injection 2.4 KA24E.
I sure its been done but, I want to swap the newer block in my 89'.  I know I have transfer all the wires and sensors.  Will the new block bolt to the old tranny.  Will the motor mounts be the same? Will I be able to use the new clutch on the old tranz?  Will the splines line up for the tranz?  I do alot of motor swaps in hondas, so I'm mechanically inclined.  First nissan swap, so I hope this will be a walk in the park.  Thanks

Answer
Rich,

Save all the sensors off the original engine unless you are going to do a swap involving the computer too.  The mechanics like the bellhousing and mounts should work.  But, past that the injection and sensor locations will be different.  I do not know the path you are taking.  If it was me I would have both engines side by side and do the sensor swapping there and make sure you get the new one looking like the old one.  Also, mark every cable and plug so you know what is where.  I like to take photographs of both for reference.
