Nissan Repair: help, nissan altima, fuel pressure

Question
I have a 1995 Nissan altima.I was driving one day.it died.I was able to start it back immediately.I drove it around town for a few hours and when i got it home it died.I had mechanics tell me that the fuel pump was faulty.I installed a new fuel pump and now all it will do is turn over.it will not fire.I checked the plugs and i am getting sufficient spark to each of them.please help me if you can for this is my only vehicle.

Answer
Charles,

If you changed the pump and you are not getting fuel check the car for enough gas first.  A quarter of a tank is minimum for getting things going again.  Second, check for fuel pressure.  If you do not have fuel pressure change the relay to the fuel pump.  Also, make sure that you installed the new pump and wired it correctly.  Unless you purchased a Nissan pump you might have a wire out of place.  It has happend to me so it might be worth checking.  Also, change the fuel filter if you have not done so.  Email me back if you have difficulties.
