Nissan Repair: Nissan Quest 2004 Headlight replacement, high intensity discharge, nissan quest 2004

Hi -  Can a headlight bulb on a 2004 Nissan Quest be replaced by the owner without major disassembly.  The owner's manual does not provide instructions, but says to contact Nissan dealer, unlike other bulb replacements, which have diagrams in the manual.  Thanks.

If you have high intensity discharge lights you need to be careful if you are going to change them.  They are high voltage so make darn sure the lights are off or you will get a shock.  You can purchase the bulb at the dealer, a parts store or on-line.  If you are not willing to do the deed you can get it done at the dealer.  A factory service manual that you can get from nissanusa.com can simplify the process.  It has the pictures you need to show you how to change the bulb.  But, remember not to touch the bulb and make sure the lights are off or you will get one hell of a shock...
