Nissan Repair: 93 sev6 pathfinder, stalling after 10 min of driving, or below 1000rpms, fuel pressure regulator, air meter

Question
this question was already asked, and the answer was that it might have to do with the air meter falling, but i was wondering if there was something, like a quick fix, when youre pulled over at a motel and dont have a cell phone...?  i tried disconnnecting, and discharing the batter and it seemed to help for about ten minutes as well, but it began again.    any help asap?   thanks!

Answer
Staci,

If the vehicle dies after ten minutes and disconnecting the battery gets you another ten minutes seems a little strange.  I would check basics like the vehicle running lean after it reaches operating temperature.  The coil or ignition module might be getting hot and failing once everything warms up.  Other causes might be that the fuel pressure regulator is broken and after the cold start mode, when the engine runs rich, and the computer goes into operating temperature the vehicle is starved for fuel.  Check the fuel pressure with a gauge on the fuel rail.  If the pressure drops off you know that the regulator, relay or pump needs attention.
