Hello Again Dave:

>>I just Remembered Something; Did you Say you Replaced the Coil Lead to the Plug?
>>If yes, Did you Use a Metal Core or Glass/Carbon Core Wire.
>>A Small Engine Coil will Not Fire through a Glass/Carbon Core Coil Lead, it has to be a Wire Core Coil Lead.
>>Thanks.

QUESTION: hello i have replaced all parts with kohler parts i did not dress points but i did try the old ones also and still no spark... where would the disconnect wire be i may have took that off... i removed all sheet metal and seat to repaint. and is currently all still removed. the engine is grounded.

ANSWER: Hi Dave:

>>The Wire that Grounds the Point Set or Coil is the Shut Off Wire and if Any Safety Switches are on the Unit and Preventing the Point Set or Coil from Operating as Designed, Disconnecting the Shut Off Wire will Eliminate this.
>>Sometimes the Point Set Contacts have a Coating that is Supposed to Prevent Corrosion and it Sometimes Prevents the Contacts from Contacting at All and you have No Fire. Polishing the Contacts with a Clean Cloth before Installation will Correct this.
