Nissan Repair: 1986 nissan sunny 1270cc, torque settings, torque specs

Good Afternoon (NZDT)
Please are you able to tell us the torque settings and order for tightening the head of the above (we can convert), my husband has today replaced the head gasket but we are unable to locate a service manual for the car in our local shops as yet.  Thank you - Alex, 18th November 2006

Well Alex, they don't sell that model here in the States but here is the sequence and torque specs of a 1600 cc Nissan of 1986 vintage. It should be about the same.

Cylinder Head Torque Procedure:



Tighten all bolts to 29 N.m (3.0 kg-m, 22 ft-lb) .
Tighten all bolts to 69 N.m (7.0 kg-m, 51 ft-lb) .
Loosen all bolts completely.
Tighten all bolts to 29 N.m (3.0 kg-m, 22 ft-lb) .
Tighten all bolts to 69 to 74 N.m (7.0 to 7.5 kg-m, 51 to 54 ft-lb).
