Nissan Repair: P0500, vehicle speed sensor, obd 2 reader

i have a 98 Q45 and the speedodmeter stopped working and the check engine light came on. I have a OBD 2 reader and it read P0500 and P0500 PD so I looked it up and it says the speed sensor had a malfunction. so I called the dealer and they said there is 3 speed sensors but where are they located how do i repair them. please advise

Can't repair them Ricardo, they must be replaced. Located on the transmission. The one you need is the "vehicle speed sensor". This is the one that tells the computer how fast your going so it will know when to shift. When it is not working, which is extremely common, the check engine light will come on and your transmission will go into fail safe, which is second and reverse only on most cars.
