Nissan Repair: cost to replace suspension on 2001 altima, nissan altima, wheel alignment

Question
How much should I expect to spend on a completely replaced suspension on a 2001 Nissan Altima.  It's shot.  And, what other repairs may need done along with it as it has been neglected?  Their costs?

Answer
Anna,

I would go to Sears or another major chain when they have a sale on struts.  You are looking at Sears when they have a sale on strut install and alignment for $200 to $300 for the front and the same for the back.  Shop around to get the best deal and make sure they show you the parts they replace.  If the CV boots are gone you are looking at $100 a side plus the labor.  That is all that should be wrong.  If you get the work done at the same time you save the cost of getting it aligned each time.  I say this because if they do part of the work and then align it and you go back for a little more work later you will have to get it aligned again.  Usually, an alignment is $100 bucks or more for a four wheel alignment.
