Nissan Repair: Degreasing my engine, mass air flow sensor, throttle position sensor

Question
I just recently had a leaky valve cover gasket on my 1997 Nissan Pick-up 2WD and so oil is everywhere. I want to degrease but i'm not sure all what to cover. I know i should cover air intake, air filter (although it has a cover), distributor cap, oil and transmission dipstick tubes. But as far as electrical sensors and connectors i'm clueless. Also is it better to go to a carwash with an engine degrease solution, or just buy a can of it? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Answer
Adrien,

Do not wash the mass air flow sensor or the ignition or the throttle position sensor.  other than that you should be fine.  I like to use cling wrap on the MAF to make sure it does not get wet as it is the worst for shorting out.  Buy a can of Gunk engine bright.  And, just use a hose.
