Nissan Repair: 1998 Altima idler pulley replacement, nissan altima, bill joyce

We need to replace our idler pulley and the book we have does not have instructions for the 1998 Nissan Altima. Can we do this ourselves or is it a professional job? If we can could you please send us instructions for the procedure.

If you are talking about the one for the airconditioner you can get one from the dealer for $65 bucks.  Just did one last week.  There are four bolts that hold it on and it is an easy change out.  If you are talking about the one for the timing belt you are talking about a much more involved process.
