Nissan Repair: water?, head gasket, cracked head

my nissan trk overheated cause by a small hose by the head, i let it cool down repaired leak. now no start? removed spark plugs and found water spitting out #3 cylinder? is this a cracked head? how do u diagnose?

Hi Todd -

Take a compression test. If you have no compression in one or two cylinders, then it is probably only the head gasket and a head resurface job.

If all cylinders are dead, then you may be looking at a cracked head.

If the car was not driven overheated for a long time, then chances are that the gasket is blown, and not a cracked head.
