pressed the button to clear trip milage and have lost power to all guages including speedo on 2000 terrano II

Ckeck the fuse to the instrument cluster.  I would bet there is a short in the cluster when the reset it pressed.  if the fuse blows again, without touching the reset you will need to remove the cluster to get to the back of the reset switch to correct the problem.  Also, as a last resort you can get it repaired or get one from a salvage yard.
